Job description

Compensation Range:

Position Summary:

Hiring compensation range: $18.04 to $19.84 per hour depending on qualifications.

Job Summary:

Provides specialized clerical support to assigned department(s) to enable effective office operations. This position includes working one night per week and possibly up to four nights a week during peak registration periods. In addition, the position will require working some Saturday hours during peak registration months.

Job Duties:

Manage all aspects of financial aid appeals.
Operate the rotary microfilm camera.
Research and resolve complex student problems.
Process requests for out-going transcripts.
Assist in filing and coding first time applications and high school transcripts.
Data entry, calculate and compute corrections to records and reports, maintain and handle confidential student records.
Distribute, collect, check, and enter grade rolls.
Assist with registration.
Perform calculations to determine eligibility for financial aid.
Process incoming mail, answer telephone inquiries, and redirect calls when necessary.
Place orders for textbooks.
Performs other similar and related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

The position requires at least a High School diploma orGEDand at least one-year of prior-related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Provides specialized clerical support to assigned department(s) to enable effective office operations. This position includes working one night per week and possibly up to four nights a week during peak registration periods. In addition, the position will require working some Saturday hours during peak registration months.

Prefer applicants with: (1) strong customer service experience: (2) knowledge of Florida Residency Guidelines andFERPA; (3) data entry and computer experience; and (3) work experience that demonstrates detail-oriented skills. Previous higher education work experience and/or fluently bilingual in Spanish and English (fluently able to converse, read, and write) a plus.

Research and resolve complex student problems. Data entry, calculate and compute corrections to records and reports, maintain and handle confidential student records.

Assist with registration. Process incoming mail, answer telephone inquires and redirect calls when necessary. Assists students on a face to face basis as well as through forms and email. diagnose residency issues. Perform other similar and related duties as assigned.

Process name changes/SS number changes. Registration, process residency documents.
