The Job

TheData Center Assistant Manageris responsible foroverseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and support of high-performance computing infrastructure within a data center environment. This includes managing staff, ensuring uptime and system reliability, enforcing operational procedures, and collaborating with IT, engineering, and research teams to support compute-intensive workloads.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Data Center Manager with deployments, decommissions, Data Center operations,andtraining of new employees.

  • Overseeall aspects of the warehouse,shipping, receiving, inventory management, and qualitycontrol.

  • Assists with Asset Lifecycle Management from arrival totheData Center toRMAretirement.

  • Responsible for recording received inventory and deployment deliveries.

  • Manages time off requests and approval of timesheets.

  • Assistswith planning for deployments ofclient-hosted assets, including validation of capacity,power, cooling,andnetwork infrastructure.

  • Assistswithlabor managementfor site standup, customer move-in,or decommissionactivities.

  • Assists with Goalsettingfor the performance and evolution of the Data Center.

  • Assistswith defining,maintaining, and enforcing performance metrics in allfacetsof the DataCenter.

  • Ensureemployees are trained and understand how to completetheir jobs.

  • Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team, with co-workers/ teammates,and leaders across the organization.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • AHigh school diploma/GEDisrequired.A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, a related field,or equivalent experience is highly preferred.

  • 4 years of experience ina data center environmentrequired.

  • Previoussupervisory/leadership experienceis highlypreferred.

  • Musthave a valid driver's license.

  • A goodunderstanding ofnetwork, electrical, mechanical, and building systems isrequired.

  • Proficient withweb-based programs, and Excel and Word processing arerequired.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillsrequired.

  • Basic product knowledge of blockchain and network equipmentis preferred.

Occasional travel between data centers may berequired.

Work Environment

This job is operated in a professional office, warehouse, and data center environment.This role routinelyusesstandard office equipment such as laptops, smartphones, ladders, forklifts, andscissor lifts. While performing these duties, the employee will be exposed to both hot and cold environments.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee isfrequentlyrequired to sit, stand, walk, use hands,andliftto50 pounds.
