Your Role As a GCSS-Army Medical Maintenance Specialist, you will serve as a vital liaison and technical specialist supporting the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Command (USARC), specifically embedded with the 807th Medical Command (Deployment Support). Your core purpose is to validate, reconcile, and optimize medical maintenance and supply data within the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army). By ensuring high data integrity, accurate property book reconciliation, and smooth work order tracking, you will directly enable army units to meet mission-critical maintenance and logistical demands. What You Will Be Doing Validate Data Integrity: Scrub, analyze, and validate Master Maintenance Data File (MMDF) records in GCSS-A to maintain accurate equipment accountability across all assigned USARC units. Guide & Mentor Unit Personnel: Provide hands-on guidance to unit personnel on correct GCSS-A data entry, work order tracking and validation, and property book corrections in alignment with official standards. Research & Extract Logistics Data: Extract MAT-SIT reports and analyze medical equipment sets to streamline material classification and inventory visibility. Configure Support Networks: Assist units in setting up maintenance support pathways, work centers, and support shops, and connect them to key medical logistics depots and agencies. Oversee Operational Processes: Monitor and validate operator-level data processes, man-hour accountability reporting, and medical (Class VIII) repair parts ordering. Train and Support Users: Deliver end-user functional training on equipment tracking, software updates, and revised GCSS-Army STAMIS procedures. Report & Resolve Issues: Identify complex data anomalies, establish clear facts, and author comprehensive After-Action Reports (AARs) for leadership. What You Will Need Must-Haves
Security Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance. Systems Expertise: At least 2 years of operator-level experience in GCSS-Army focusing on data validation, work order tracking, and property book reconciliation (or 1 year of recent experience with USAR STAMIS processes). Communication & Operational Skills: Strong written/verbal communication abilities to deliver functional system guidance, basic foundational math, and proficiency with spreadsheets to prepare After-Action Reports (AARs). Mobility: Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% within the Continental United States (CONUS). Nice-to-Haves
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related technical, analytical, or business discipline (equivalent military/operational experience accepted in lieu of degree). Military Background: Prior U.S. Military experience and direct familiarity with U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) organizational procedures. Domain Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in an Army Medical Maintenance work environment, processing medical data. Military & Veteran Equivalents We strongly encourage transitioning service members and veterans to apply! Candidates with backgrounds in the following military occupational specialties (MOS) and Navy Enlisted Classifications (NEC) are exceptionally well-suited for this role: U.S. Army MOS: 68J (Medical Logistics Specialist), 92A (Automated Logistical Specialist), or 92Y (Unit Supply Specialist). U.S. Navy NEC: Navy Enlisted Classifications in Medical Supply and Medical Logistics. Core Technical Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in an Army Medical Maintenance work environment and 2+ years of operator-level experience in GCSS-Army (or 1 year of recent USAR STAMIS experience). If you have managed work order tracking, property book reconciliation, or medical maintenance data in uniform, your military logistics experience translates directly into this civilian role. Logistics Work Location: Bluffdale, Utah — (Standard business hours: Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) Position Type: Full-time, Exempt Travel Required: Up to 50% CONUS travel Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and qualifications Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package (detailed terms and eligibility provided during onboarding) Mental and Physical Demands This position is primarily sedentary and involves working on a computer for extended periods, including viewing monitors and using standard office technology.
