Job description

Job Summary (List Format):
- Long-term, hybrid position (2 days/week onsite in Brooklyn, NY) with NYCERS, 40 hours per week.
- Requires local candidates with an active LinkedIn profile.
- One round interview process.
- Responsible for detailed field-level analysis, metadata analysis, profiling, and mapping of VSAM files into relational/dimensional SQL tables.
- Lead and support data conversion and validation as part of an enterprise-wide legacy system replacement program.
- Create and maintain a master data dictionary, including business terms, valid values, and definitions.
- Assist in database design and inventory for mission-critical applications.
- Migrate and convert VSAM data to relational/dimensional SQL distributed databases.
- Develop ETL processes using IBM DataStage and perform source-to-target data mapping.
- Extract business rules and field data from COBOL programs.
- Develop and maintain SSRS reports.
- Work with BMC Control-M for workload automation and GIT for version control.
- Perform complex SQL data validations based on STTMs and data models.
- Work across IBM Mainframe, Windows Server, and SQL Server environments.
- Collaborate with technical teams to analyze requirements and propose solutions.
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot data issues.
- Preferred: Experience with data quality/profiling tools, data warehouses/data marts, and prior pension system (NYC or NYS) experience.
