Job Summary:
Global Pharma Tek is a company focused on supporting public health initiatives, and they are seeking a Data Analyst to assist with projects funded under the CDC Public Health Infrastructure Grant. The role involves cataloging agency data resources, managing data requests, and supporting project timelines to advance data modernization goals.
Responsibilities:
• Provide general support to the agency in its projects funded under the CDC Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG), specifically under Strategy A3: Data Modernization.
• Cataloging and organization of agency data resources with the ultimate goal of creating a public facing agency-wide data catalog.
• Assisting with the selection and implementation of an updated process for managing external requests for data and public records.
• Supporting the creation and implementation of project timelines.
• Consistent and effective communication with agency staff supporting the projects, and maintaining focus on project goals and meeting deadlines.
• Assist with the collecting, organizing and leveraging large amounts of data across multiple subject matters to enable more accessible utilization and analysis of the data using data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, catalogs, etc.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience participating in all day-to-day aspects (planning, organizing, budgeting, etc.) of multi-faceted data management and/or modernization projects
• Assisting with the collection, cataloging and leveraging of large amounts of data across multiple subject matters to enable more accessible utilization and analysis of that data using data lakes, warehouses, catalogs, etc.
• Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers involved in the collection, management and development of agency data resources in order to advance the agency's data modernization goals
• Experience working under data and IT security national standards applicable to the management and security of protected health information
• Working knowledge of data management, visualization and analysis tools used to organize, leverage and share multiple forms of data
• Experience working with multiple types of vendors of modern data management and analysis software, systems, and applications
Preferred:
• Governmental data modernization or project management experience
