Job description

Position Summary
As a Data Admin Analyst (Technical Configuration Librarian) your role is the custodian of Configuration Items (CIs) registered within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The major tasks of the CMDB Librarian are to control the receipt, identification, storage, and withdrawal of all supported CI's, to provide information on the status of CI's, to create processes that recertify assets each year, to number, record, store and distribute Configuration Management issue and to assist application owners with mapping relationships between CI's.
You are:
A self-starter who is fueled by collaboration, likes working with people, and who thrives in partnering across the company with all technology areas to deliver on a robust and accurate CMDB that can be used to make key decision around technology modernization.
Someone with a solid understanding of data management related to and supporting the inventory of technology application software, hardware, operating systems, middleware, databases, etc.
Someone that is detail oriented and organized to successfully deliver results.
Someone that can execute by demonstrating solid focus and determination to overcome obstacle.
Responsible for managing master data sets, developing reporting tools, and troubleshooting data issues.
Responsible for supporting data integrity and normalization of data.
You will:
Manage and interpret master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
Use statistical tools, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
Mine data from primary and secondary sources, reorganizing said data in various formats.
Provide quality assurance of imported data.
Commissions and decommissions data sets.
Manage and design the reporting environment, including data sources, and metadata.
Assist with strategic decisions on new systems.
Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and reports.
Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems.
Generate reports from single or multiple systems, training end users on new reports and dashboards.
Provide technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements.
Create appropriate documentation of the data analysis process.
Perform various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
You have :
Experience in Data Analysis - Data Admin, Configuration Librarian or in related field.
Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
Ability to translate technical requirements into non-technical terms.
High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large scale databases.
Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
Knowledge of addressing and metadata standards.
Strong oral and verbal communication skills.
Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
Able to produce reports and complete work within deadlines.
Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives.
