Job description


Endurance IT Services is seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst to support a large-scale Enterprise Data Governance Program. In this role, you will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to establish trusted, governed enterprise data that supports reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making across the organization.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in data governance, metadata management, data quality, data lineage, and stakeholder engagement. This position will support governance initiatives across modern cloud data platforms including AWS and Snowflake.
  • Contract Duration: 9-12 Months
  • Location: Richmond, VA
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Data Governance Program.
  • Facilitate data governance workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Architects, and Engineering teams to establish governance standards for enterprise datasets.
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, business glossaries, metadata repositories, and governance documentation.
  • Define and document Critical Data Elements (CDEs), business rules, and data quality standards.
  • Perform data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and data quality assessments.
  • Document business and technical data lineage and end-to-end data flows.
  • Support governance activities for enterprise datasets within AWS and Snowflake environments.
  • Create governance dashboards, metrics, and executive-level reporting.
  • Assist with data classification, retention, and information lifecycle management initiatives.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Business Analysis, Metadata Management, or related disciplines.
  • Experience implementing enterprise Data Governance programs.
  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Experience with data lineage, metadata management, and data cataloging.
  • Experience developing data policies, procedures, standards, and governance documentation.
  • Experience documenting business glossaries, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories.
  • Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise data warehouses and relational databases.
