Job Summary:
NEOGOV is a company that supports organizational operations through data analysis and software assistance. The IT Data Analyst role involves collecting, maintaining, and interpreting data to assist departments in planning, reporting, and decision-making activities.
Responsibilities:
• Work with Department representatives to support data management, analysis and reporting.
• Serves as point of contact for users with software issues, including, but not limited to, software updates, MS Office products, CentralSquare Enterprise Resource Project (ERP), Firehouse/ESO, OSSI, Upland Filebound, and other user applications.
• Troubleshoots issues with users in all applications and acts as one of the liaisons between vendor application support and the City’s end users.
• Documents solutions in the IT helpdesk software application.
• Prepares instructional documentation for end users and IT staff.
• Assist with training end users on various applications.
• Assist with the loading and configuring of personal computer productivity software.
• Keep current on software updates and inform management and department members as changes may affect personal computer operations.
• Assist in Installation and testing of software including office applications, public safety applications, and any other applications used by the City.
• Support IT Business Analyst in all aspects of data analysis services.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Knowledge of the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer hardware, software and related equipment.
• Knowledge of various software packages including Microsoft Office products and Adobe products.
• Skill in the installation and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
• Skill in the training of end users in various software operations.
• Skill in the use of the City’s report generating software.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Able to communicate orally in the English language with customers, clients, and the public using a telephone, face to face, one to one setting, or using data network systems.
• Able to produce written documents in the English language with clearly organized thoughts using proper sentence construction, punctuation, and grammar.
• Able to act independently and logically to implement policies of supervisor.
• Able to comprehend and make inferences from written material.
• Able to learn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation.
• Able to enter data or information into a PC or other keyboard device.
• Able to effectively manage multiple tasks at once.
• Able to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and staff at all levels of the organization.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three (3) years direct experience in data analytics to include data management, data reporting and user administration for departmental or enterprise user systems.
• Minimum one (1) year experience developing and conducting employee training on applications.
• Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license.
Preferred:
• Associate’s degree in computer sciences or data analytics training highly desired but not required.
