Job description

The Chief Information Security Officer leads the Justice Center's information security and cybersecurity program, serving as the principal advisor on cybersecurity strategy, technology risk, and information security matters to executive leadership. The role is responsible for developing and implementing security policies, conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with security requirements, overseeing incident response, and coordinating agency-wide cybersecurity awareness initiatives. This position reports to the Deputy Director of Enterprise Risk, Audit, and Security within the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs.

Key qualifications
  • Seven years of information technology, cybersecurity, or information assurance experience, including one year at the supervisory level
  • Bachelor's degree in any field (or with 15+ semester credit hours in computer science/related field) may substitute for experience
  • Master's degree in computer science or related field substitutes for one year of required experience
  • Experience leading information security program development and implementation
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity incident response and compliance with information security requirements
