Job description

ResponsibilitiesGlobal Banking and Advisory (GLBA) combines wholesale coverage with world-class product financing and advisory expertise within one team. Within GLBA, the Credit Portfolio Management (CPM) team is looking to hire an Analyst within the corporates vertical. GLBA Overview: We provide our issuer clients (corporates, financial institutions, public sector) with capital raising solutions, along with structured financing and commodities, forex, and interest rate hedging. Developing tailor‑made products and providing strategic advice (capital structure advisory, financing schemes and capital markets) based on our worldwide expertise and in-depth sectorial knowledge, we aim to meet their financing needs. We are a top player across euro debt capital markets and won many international accolades over the years as a worldwide leader in export, project and natural resources & energy finance. CPM Overview: We manage the assets held across GLBA. CPM has three verticals: (i) corporates (investment grade and non-investment grade), (ii) real assets (real estate, energy, infrastructure, etc.) and (iii) financial assets (capital call facilities, middle market lending, etc.). CPM actively manages the portfolio of GLBA to maximize profitability and contribute to investment banking idea generation across M&A, ECM and Leveraged Finance for new transactions. We approve all transactions that enter the portfolio and actively work with investors to support the distribution of the portfolio across asset classes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ability to prepare, review and analyze all aspects of a financing, including detailed financial modeling, due diligence process, credit analysis, credit approval process and marketing process for non-investment grade corporate credits
  • Assist in the monitoring of portfolio companies post-closing and identify investment ideas for new origination opportunities for investment banking products and services
  • Prepare and present quarterly reporting memos to senior managers on a quarterly basis
  • Actively participate in the workout of distressed deals in conjunction with internal and external partners
  • Manage and coordinate with other departments to handle all administrative and compliance processes related to your deals
  • Engage with management teams on diligence requests and lender questions
  • Prepare and present memos for credit agreement amendments
  • Coordinating with internal investment banking partners on transactions for new deal origination
REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience with three-statement financial modeling, including detailed operating builds and capital structure scenarios
  • Knowledge of corporate finance valuation and financial accounting concepts
  • Formal credit training and experience conducting credit analysis
  • Experience working on restructurings and bankruptcy proceedings
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated work ethic, positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE:6 months to 2 years of investment banking, credit analysis, restructuring experience

EDUCATION:Bachelors Degree from a top-tier university (preferably in Economics, Accounting, or Finance)

COMPENSATION

Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
