Job Duties
  • Responsible for utilizing and training others on laboratory equipment use, calibration, maintenance and breakdowns
  • Responsible for programing the chambers and determine the correct software to accurately find glitch detection of samples in test.
  • Create work instructions and utilize document tracking software to complete periodic reviews.
  • Program chambers corresponding with sequences to conform to required test specifications.
  • Responsible for maintaining, calibrating (internal and/or outsourcing) and use of all lab machinery and equipment.
  • Complete all maintenance and repairs (internal and/or outsourcing) for chambers, light lab (goniometer, vertical photometer, wire harnesses, breakdowns, etc.)
  • Complete all maintenance and repairs (internal and/or outsourcing) for all our environmental, vibration and photometric fixtures.
  • Responsible for completing calibrations in lab and light lab. This also includes plant items that need to be completed by an outsourced provider (Masters for cal. Equipment CCM machine, etc.)
  • Complete calibrations of certified bulbs from the sphere system for light lab testing.
  • Assist with fixture design for upcoming programs.
  • Develop and fabricate setups for new testing (fixturing and jigs).
  • Assist manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, preventative maintenance, setup techs, and quality techs with verification of suspect product.
  • Perform the majority of PV, DV, ED, and PPAP testing.
  • Use band saws, sander buffing wheel, drill press, and other machines to prepare or inspect product.
  • Use of microscope to take photos of quality and engineering department needs.
  • Read, interpret and execute tests according to customer and regulatory demands. ย 
  • Complete all work in a safe and environmentally conscious way. Follows ISO14001 guidelines as they relate to specific job activity.
  • Responsible for occasional cleaning (windows, equipment, floors), as needed.

Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED. Associates degree preferred.
  • At least two years experience in manufacturing setting.
  • Must be familiar with the following computer programs: Excel, Word, Power Point, and email.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and execute tests according to customer and regulatory requirements.
