The Graduate Assistant for the School of Education will be assisting the faculty and administrative staff within the department. Duties may include but are not limited to general office work (e.g. filing, printing, scanning, campus deliveries, organization, inventory), general research (e.g. best practices and programs, comparison and review of peer institutions, research new ideas/concepts, etc.), or any special projects associated with the college.
DAILY DUTIES:

1. Restock copy machine.
2. Serve as SOE receptionist.
3. Maintain the job bulletin board.
4. Upkeep of SOE social media platforms.
5. Student file maintenance, organization, and filing.
6. Sort mail into the correct mailboxes in the faculty room.
7. Make sure that all areas of the SOE are always clean and neat.
8. Prepare daily course materials for faculty and staff such as copies.
9. Greet students and visitors and direct them to the appropriate office
As a student representative of Gannon University and the School of Education, the utmost professionalism and integrity is expected at all times.
Required Qualifications
1. Familiar with utilizing social media platforms.
2. Excellent reading, writing, typing, proofreading, and editing skills.
3. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities as shown by previous work experience.
4. Must be proficient in Adobe, MS Excel, MS Forms, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
5. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and sign confidentiality agreement.
6. Reliable, honest; must be in good academic standing with no prior academic integrity violations; required to adhere to strict confidentiality policies
Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands
1) Should be able to bend, lift, push and pull to assist with moving boxes and supplies in various areas throughout the Palumbo Academic Center.
2) May be asked to lift up to 30-50 pounds.
3) May be asked to transport items across campus.
