Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Thursday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Assistant Controller, the Junior Accountant assists with day-to-day accounting functions, month-end close support, financial reporting preparation, reconciliations, and audit documentation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Financial Reporting Support: Assist with the preparation of financial statements, schedules, reports, and supporting analyses for review by the Assistant Controller.

  • General Ledger Management: Participate in month end close, maintain the general ledger, record financial transactions accurately and timely and reconcile accounts regularly. Areas of concentration include:

  • Budget Support: Assist with budget tracking, variance research, and preparation of information for review by the Assistant Controller
  • Internal Controls: Follow established internal control procedures and assist with documentation, review, and compliance efforts.
  • Budget Monitoring: Assist in budgeting and variance analysis, providing insights into financial performance against targets.
  • Audit Support: Gather, organize, and prepare audit documentation and assist with auditor requests under the direction of the Assistant Controller
  • Process Improvement: Help identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency within assigned accounting processes.
  • Department Support: Work with other departments to gather financial and operational information needed by the Finance team.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
