Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Hands-on Controller to lead financial and operational accounting for our US manufacturing business. This role will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, cost accounting, data integrity and operational financial support to drive profitability and efficiency.
The Controller will serve as a strategic business partner to plant leadership, providing financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance insights to support operational decision-making.
Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Management amp; Reporting
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Prepare and submit required financial reports to corporate headquarters
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and corporate reporting policies
  • Support internal and external audit processes
Cost Accounting amp; Manufacturing Finance
  • Own and maintain standard cost systems
  • Analyze costs variances
  • Oversee inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventory
  • Partner with operations to support cost control and efficiency initiatives
  • Support capital expenditure analysis related to plant investments
Budgeting amp; Performance Management
  • Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
  • Track plant performance against budget and explain key variances
  • Provide financial analysis to support operational decision-making
Internal Controls amp; Compliance
  • Ensure strong internal controls over financial reporting and inventory
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Oversee tax compliance coordination (income tax, sales/use tax, property tax)
  • Monitor updates to accounting and regulatory requirements and implement necessary changes
  • Coordinate with external advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings
Treasury Support
  • Monitor cash position and working capital (AR, AP, inventory)
  • Support intercompany transactions and cash settlements
  • Assist the CFO with banking-related activities as needed

Qualifications
Education amp; Certification
Bachelorโ€™s degree in accounting or finance required
CPA or CMA preferred
Experience
8-12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
Minimum 3โ€“5 years in a manufacturing environment
Strong cost accounting experience required
