Senior Accountant (with path to Assistant Controller/ Controller)

Brooklyn, NY (Boro Park) | Hybrid (4 Days Onsite)

$90K – $120K + Benefits

Position Overview

A mental health services organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its lean finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to take ownership, gain exposure to all aspects of the finance function, and grow into an Assistant Controller or Controller role as the company continues to expand.

The organization currently operates multiple outpatient clinics with additional growth planned. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role offers significant visibility, mentorship, and the opportunity to help build the finance infrastructure.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • 3–5+ years of accounting experience

  • Healthcare or healthcare services experience required

  • Strong understanding of month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems

  • Driven, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
