Job Summary
WebBank is looking for an Accounting Manager to join the Finance Team to support the daily financial operations of the Bank which includes participating in monthly closings, supporting the preparation of monthly financial reports, maintaining the Bank loan portfolio and subsidiary ledgers, assisting with the preparation of audit schedules, preparing accounts payable, and assisting with various special projects. The Accounting Manager will report to the Assistant Controller.
Primary Responsibilities (Job Duties)
  • Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles
  • Overseeing the general ledger and account reconciliations
  • Preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports
  • Supervising accounting staff and providing coaching
  • Ensuring GAAP compliance and maintaining internal controls
  • Supporting audits and regulatory reporting, including related schedules
  • Driving process improvements and accounting automation efforts
  • Lead accounting process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and implementation of best practices to improve efficiency and control effectiveness.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and management reporting packages.
  • Interact with Assistant Controller, Controller, and CFO on daily basis and assist on special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties/projects as assigned or requested.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 5 -7 years of accounting experience
  • Thorough knowledge of established accounting principles and practices

  • Knowledge and proficiency of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with regards to financial reporting for a public company
