Job description

POSITION SUMMARY


Supports the Controller in overseeing the day-to-day Accounting and Financial Operations of the organization, including Corporate Accounting and Shared Services functions such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant completion of accounting activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Serves as a key financial partner to the Controller, FP&A, operational leaders, and Global Finance teams by providing accurate financial information and analysis to support business decisions. Provides leadership, direction, and development to accounting team members while promoting strong financial controls, process discipline, and continuous improvement. Works closely with the Controller and FP&A team to support the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reporting, and collaborates with the Global Finance team to ensure month-end close and financial reporting requirements are completed timely and appropriately in Global financial reporting tools.


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

· Support the Controller in overseeing Accounting and Shared Services operations, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

· Lead and develop accounting team members, including performance management, coaching, and prioritization of work.

· Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

· Review financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance with IFRS and Global Policies.

· Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, management reports, and financial analysis in partnership with the Controller and FP&A team.

· Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information.

· Support cash management, cash flow reporting, tax compliance, and other financial operations as directed by the Controller.

· Coordinate internal and external audit activities, including preparation and review of PBC schedules and supporting documentation.

· Identify and implement process improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial performance, efficiency, and cost management.

· Provide financial information and support to the Controller, VP Finance Americas, Global Finance, and other stakeholders; assist with special projects and provide backup support for the Controller as needed.

· All other duties assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

· Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

· Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive accounting experience, including experience with financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and accounting operations.

· Minimum of four (4) years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

· Manufacturing and corporate reporting experience preferred.

· Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience a plus.

· CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional accounting certification strongly preferred.
