As the Assistant Controller, you'll serve as a key finance leader responsible for manufacturing accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, project accounting, internal controls, and continuous process improvement. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Project Management, and executive leadership, you'll help provide the financial insight needed to drive operational excellence and profitable growth.
What You'll Do
As an Assistant Controller, you'll lead critical accounting functions while serving as a strategic business partner across ENTEK's manufacturing operations. 

 
In this role you will:  

  • Support month-end and year-end close process, including preparing journal entries and month-end accruals, reviewing assigned journal entries, preparing more complex reconciliations, and other month-end close duties as assigned
  • Support and manage periodic inventory existence, movement, costing, and reserve activities
  • Support controller in accounts receivable and payable oversight
  • Assist controller in problem solving activities on an as needed basis including partnering with operations, sales, and supply chain as well as within the accounting department as appropriate
  • Partner with various department personnel including operations, sales, and supply chain on a day-to-day basis
  • Analyze financial information (including variance analysis) to support monthly, quarterly, and annual results
  • Assist with fixed assets recording and tracking and corporate cost allocations
  • Support corporate financial statement audit and tax compliance requests as applicable to the separator companies.
  • Assist controller and corporate finance with the budget and financial forecasting process including facilitation of input collection
  • Aid in the development and documentation of standardized business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls while leveraging best practices
  • Research and assist in the preparation of accounting technical memos, process and control documentation.

  Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • 5 - 7 years of working experience in accounting related field with exposure to: general ledger entries, account
  • reconciliations, GAAP, audits (financial), cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting/forecasting, etc.
  •  Professional certification (CPA or CMA), preferred
  • Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close processes
  • Solid technical and accounting software proficiency including knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel. Experience with AX or D365 a plus.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret accounting related communication, business periodicals, governmental regulations draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • An excellent attention to detail, as well as the ability to stay focused, think critically, and possess problem-solving skills.
  • Ability prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to maintain regular, reliable and predictable attendance
  • Ability to understand and communicate in conversational English, including following verbal and written direction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred      
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus 
  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools 
  • Experience leading ERP implementations or financial process improvement initiatives 
  • Experience developing and mentoring accounting professionals 
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and operational finance 


Your Work Schedule


This is a full-time, exempt position working Monday through Friday in Lebanon, Oregon. The role is primarily office-based with regular collaboration throughout ENTEK's manufacturing operations and occasional time spent on the production floor supporting operational initiatives.
