BEPC is actively looking for Content Coordinator, in Newark, NJ area!

W2 Contract – 9 months with possible extensions!

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance

Pay Rate: $28.00 - $31.50/hour - Determined based on experience (Paid Weekly)

Work Model: Onsite role – 5 days per week

Location Requirement: Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Newark, NJ work location and meet the onsite requirement.

Summary of the Role:

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Content Coordinator to join our client’s site in Newark, NJ. This role will support the US Catalog Operations team by ensuring the timely ingestion and maintenance of product information (metadata) and digital assets, including audio, images, and table of contents.


The position is responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and timely release of products in the catalog. This role will work with Content Management Systems, global teams, stakeholders, and external partners while supporting content operations workflows and utilizing data to deliver accurate results and optimize throughput with low defects.


Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Delivery Monitoring and Asset Ingestion
  • Monitor the third-party asset delivery queue daily.
  • Vet all asset deliveries before ingesting and queuing them into Catalog Operations workflows.
  • Communicate the status of ingested and queued titles to Catalog Operations partners daily to ensure timely release of delivered content.
  • Process and verify daily and large-scale metadata update and correction requests received from providers, customers, and internal stakeholders through tickets or other sources.
  • Ensure requests are answered appropriately and promptly.


Workflow Confirmations and Removal

  • Handle the title cancellation queue.
  • Notify third-party providers when titles have been removed from workflow and communicate the corrections needed to reinstate them.
  • Assist with oversight of the confirmation request queue.
  • Notify providers when titles are on hold and communicate the corrections or confirmations needed to reinstate them into workflow.


Provider Change Requests

  • Assess the validity of product update requests received from providers and customers.
  • Initiate appropriate product update requests.
  • Ensure requests are answered appropriately and in a timely fashion.


Ticket Queue Management

  • Monitor incoming tickets from internal partners.
  • Take action and properly route tickets as needed to ensure queues remain within the expected Catalog Operations SLA.


AI and Operational Workflows

  • Leverage AI tools to enhance operational workflows, including task-based automation, process documentation, data synthesis, and stakeholder communication.
  • Follow team standards and share successful use cases with colleagues.


Main Qualifications:

  • Education: B.A./B.S. or equivalent degree, preferably in Humanities.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in editorial/publishing, preferably in a web-based publishing environment and ideally with proven experience in CMS databases and metadata.
  • Fluency in Office 365, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Confident and upbeat communicator with written and verbal business communication skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, interactions with external partners, and interdepartmental collaborative work.
  • Previous experience with ticketing systems and process documentation.
  • Ability to adapt to the business and communicate effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work with numerous stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to utilize data to deliver accurate results.
  • Passion for technology and media, specifically spoken-word audio


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the ONIX standard XML metadata exchange format.
  • Hands-on experience working with AI systems, tools, or data products.
  • Experience with JIRA and Airtable systems.
  • Familiarity with AGILE best practices, framework, and execution.
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Self-starter with impeccable organizational and analytical skills.
  • Avid consumer of online media, including books (audio and print), blogs, podcasts, and other digital content.
