Job description

Maynard Rich Management (MRM) is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the operations of a premier Condominium Association in the South of Market Area of San Francisco. This full-time, on-site role is supported by an Assistant Manager, and the MRM home office. The General Manager serves as the key liaison between the Board of Directors, residents, staff, and vendors, ensuring the community runs smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with governing documents and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with the Board, residents, staff, and vendors.
  • Lead and manage on-site staff, including hiring, training, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with CC&Rs, Bylaws, Policies, and applicable legislation.
  • Assist with financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, and collaboration with MRM’s accounting team.
  • Collaborate on the annual budget and reserve study; implement and monitor plans.
  • Identify operational improvements and support strategic planning.
  • Oversee uploading & organizing of association documents for use by the Board and homeowners on BuildingLink portal.
  • Attend and prepare materials for Board, Executive Session, and Committee meetings.
  • Oversee property maintenance and vendor contracts, ensuring implementation of services pursuant to the annual budget timeline and scope.
  • Manage purchasing and maintaining records of transactions and agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ management experience
  • PCAM, CMCA, CCAM or equivalent
  • Proven leadership experience in residential or HOA management.
  • Strong understanding of association governance and financial operations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with high-rise residential properties.
  • Experience with BuildingLink, Zoom, Sage50.
  • Strategic planning and conflict resolution skills.
