Job description

The Department of Medicine - Division of Geriatrics, University of Pittsburgh, invites applications for full-time faculty positions at the ASSISTANT, ASSOCIATE, or PROFESSOR level, both inside the tenure stream and outside the tenure stream. Applicants should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. with evidence of extramural funding and research interest in cancer, dementia, depression, falls, frailty, heart disease, incontinence, infections, mobility, osteoporosis, pain, pharmacotherapy, resilience, sarcopenia, and the biology of aging. Applicants should submit a letter of interest and a current CV. Startup resources and compensation are available commensurate with experience.
Applicants for Assistant Professor, non-tenure or tenure-stream,should have three or more years of experience in related scientific research; have obtained or demonstrate the ability to obtain external research funding; have disseminated results through peer-reviewed publications and other scientific forums; have significant teaching experience; and demonstrate the capacity for sustained career development, promotion, and tenure.
