Job Title: Hardware amp; Deployment Technician
Reports To: Procurement and Inventory Manager
Location: McKinney, TX
Employment Type: Full time
Position Overview:
The Hardware amp; Deployment Technician is responsible for supporting the procurement, receiving, setup, and deployment of IT hardware and equipment, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records. This role ensures that laptops, phones, and other technology assets are prepared, tracked, and deployed efficiently to support the organization’s operations. The Specialist works closely with the Procurement and Inventory Manager to maintain seamless logistics and high-quality service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming hardware and technology equipment.
  • Prepare, configure, and stage laptops, phones, and other devices for deployment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
  • Assist with procurement processes, including creating purchase requests and coordinating with vendors.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of hardware and supplies.
  • Support logistics and shipping of equipment between locations as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware issues before deployment.
  • Collaborate with IT, Field Services, and other internal teams to meet deployment deadlines.
  • Follow and maintain company policies for asset management and data security.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Procurement and Inventory Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; relevant certifications a plus.
  • Previous experience in IT support, inventory management, or hardware operations preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of laptops, phones, and IT peripherals.
  • Comfortable with manual tasks including lifting and moving equipment.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems or databases preferred.
