Sacred Heart Schools is seeking organized and responsible Head and Assistant Coaches for the 2026-2027 seasons
Founded in Chicago in 1876, Sacred Heart Schools at Sheridan Road (Hardey Preparatory for Boys and
Academy of the Sacred Heart for Girls) are independent, Catholic, single-gender elementary schools
committed to academic excellence within the context of a Christian, faith-based community. The
educational mission is deeply rooted in the 200-year tradition of the Society of the Sacred Heart and
shared with the Network of Sacred Heart Schools located in 30 countries, including 25 schools in the
United States and Canada. The essence of this tradition is the total development of each child: spiritual,
intellectual, social, emotional and physical. Our girls and boys are taught in single gender classrooms but
follow a similar curriculum and share in many activities. With a total enrollment of approximately 520
students, the schools are organized into three academic divisions, each led by a division head.
Position Description:
Practices are twice a week plus games/meets. Coaches are expected to attend and lead all practices and
events.
We are seeking individuals to coach the following sports during the fall (August-October):
• Cross Country (opportunities in JV & Varsity)
• Golf
• Girls Volleyball (opportunities in 4 th -8 th grade)
• Flag Football
We are seeking individuals to coach the following sports during the winter (Nov-Early March):
• Boys Basketball (opportunities in 4 th -8 th grade)
• Girls Basketball (opportunities in 4 th -8 th grade)
We are seeking individuals to coach the following sports during the spring (March-June):
• Boys Volleyball
• Golf
• Track and Field (opportunities in JV & Varsity)
Successful coaches will be:
• Highly organized
• A responsible individual with strong communication skills
• Passionate for coaching youth sports
Pay Range: $600 - $2200 Stipend
Final amount is dependent on sport, position, and experience.
