Job description

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.


As an AWS Cloud Systems Administrator with AMERICAN SYSTEMS, you will have the opportunity to do the following:

  • Responsible for sustainment and enhancements of the customers AWS GovCloud operating environment.

  • Responsible for supporting the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) activities of multiple software teams who design, develop, and deploy web technologies. 

  • Work within an environment of rapid growth and must anticipate and respond effectively to mission needs as they emerge.

  • The position duties include monitoring and sustaining the DevSecOps pipeline (i.e. GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, SonarQube, K8, Xray).

  • Work with development and customer support teams, providing technical and operational support.

  • 4+ Years experience as a Cloud/DevSecOps Systems Administrator

  • 2+ Years Knowledge/experience with platforms such as GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, SonarQube, K8, ECS, EKS, etc.

  • 2+ Years in an AWS GovCloud Environment supporting DoD

  • 1+ Years experience/knowledge of DISA and DoD Policies

  • Secret Clearance Required or the ability to obtain a DoD Secret (SSBI) or Top Secret Clearance

  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certified (Security + or equivalent) REQUIRED

  • Highly proficient oral and written communication with Technical and Management staff required

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
