The Civil Engineer II, P.E. is responsible for performing and supporting the design, analysis, and delivery of civil and infrastructure projects for public-sector clients. This role is suited for a licensed professional engineer who is ready to take increased ownership of project tasks, collaborate closely with project managers and senior engineers, and contribute to high-quality, on-time project delivery.

What You’ll Do
· Prepare engineering designs, calculations, plans, and specifications for civil and transportation infrastructure projects.
· Support roadway, drainage, site civil, and utility-related design efforts under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers.
· Coordinate with internal disciplines, subconsultants, and external stakeholders to support project delivery.
· Apply applicable state, federal, and local standards and design criteria to engineering work.

· Assist with plan production, technical reports, cost estimates, and permit documentation.
· Respond to review comments and support quality control and quality assurance processes.
· Provide limited construction-phase support, including responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings as needed.
· Participate in mentoring, training, and professional development opportunities.

What You’ll Need
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
· Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
· Approximately 3–7 years of progressive civil or transportation engineering experience.

· Working knowledge of roadway, drainage, and site civil design principles.

· Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software.

· Familiarity with public-sector project delivery and agency standards is preferred.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively within a team environment.
