Job description

Ardurra is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer (EIT) to join our growing Land Development team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of public and private development projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The ideal candidate will support project engineers and project managers in the design and delivery of site development and infrastructure projects while continuing to build technical and professional skills toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. This position is onsite in the suburb of Boise - Meridian, ID.

Primary Duties:
  • Assist in the planning, design, and analysis of land development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design
  • Prepare engineering drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations for stormwater management systems
  • Support the preparation of drainage reports, utility reports, and permitting documentation
  • Coordinate with internal team members, clients, and regulatory agencies
  • Conduct site visits and assist with construction administration activities as needed
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and technical reports
  • Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal standards and regulations
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • 0โ€“3+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in land development
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required
  • Familiarity with hydrology/hydraulics software (e.g., Hydraflow, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS) preferred
  • Strong understanding of site grading, drainage, and utility design principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
