Job description

Loureiro Engineering Associates is currently seeking a SUE Crew Chief to support the continued growth of our Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) division. The ideal candidate will be based in Central Connecticut or the Boston, Massachusetts area. This position plays a key role in field operations by leading a utility locating crew and performing utility designating and marking services for both large and small-scale projects. The SUE team works closely with our Land Survey group to support the design and upgrade of utility infrastructure for some of the largest utility companies in the Northeast.

  • Lead and assist with utility locating operations
  • Ensure adherence to company and client safety protocols
  • Prepare field sketches and download data from equipment
  • Coordinate with survey staff to verify designation markings
  • Collaborate with office staff on scheduling and mapping tasks
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of utility designating and marking
  • Monitor and support efficiency of utility locator performance
