As Long Island's leading youth sports program, we introduce children ages 12 months to 13 years to soccer, multisport, and non-contact martial arts through exciting classes, camps, and clinics held in schools, community centers, and parks across Long Island and Eastern Queens.

We're looking for energetic, positive role models who love working with kids. Whether you're a teacher, college student, childcare professional, athlete, or simply someone who enjoys making a difference, we'll provide all the training you need to become an amazing coach.

Schedule

We offer classes throughout the week in schools, daycares, after-school programs, community centers, and parks. Whether you're looking for a few hours a week or a consistent part-time schedule, we have opportunities to fit a variety of schedules.

Typical class times include:

  • Weekday Mornings: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Preschools & Daycares)
  • Weekday Afternoons: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Schools & Daycares)
  • Weekday Evenings: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Public & After-School Programs)
  • Weekends: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Public Classes)

We're especially looking for candidates with consistent availability in one or more of these time blocks. Flexible availability is a plus, but we'll work with your class schedule, teaching schedule, or other commitments whenever possible.

Responsibilities
  • Arrive on time and prepared for every class.
  • Lead fun, engaging, and age-appropriate sports classes for children.
  • Create a positive, encouraging, and non-competitive learning environment.
  • Build confidence in every child through positive reinforcement.
  • Communicate professionally with parents, teachers, and fellow coaches.
  • Participate in paid trainings and apply coaching feedback.
  • Be a positive role model and represent Soccer Stars with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Requirements

    • Qualifications
      • Must be at least 18 years old.
      • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
      • Willing to travel to schools and program locations throughout Long Island and Eastern Queens.
        • The more you're able to travel, the more coaching opportunities will be available to you!
      • Passion for working with children and creating a fun, active learning environment.
      • Interest in sports, fitness, or child development.
    • Experience is a plus, but not required:
      • Coaching, athletics, fitness, dance, cheer, gymnastics, martial arts, physical education, or related fields.
      • Working with children as a teacher, camp counselor, daycare provider, tutor, babysitter, nanny, or similar role.
      • Must be able to pass a background check.
