Must be available during the week from 10am - 2:00pm


Server Assistants assist servers, maintain cleanliness, and keep the dining room adequate while maintaining excellent customer service. 


Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

Assist servers in their tasks, including retrieving extra items or supplies 

  • Set assigned tables, including placing glasses, condiment holders, flowers, and silverware 
  • Clean up after guests including removing dirty dishes, replacing table linens, and wiping tables and chairs 
  • Strive for finer points of service such as making sure that the water glasses are filled, the table is free from dirty dishes, etc. 
  • Reset tables with silverware and glassware 
  • Assist in carrying food trays to tables
  • Wait on guests if needed

Requirements:
  • Key knowledge, skills abilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 
  • Possesses a commitment and eagerness to provide excellent customer service
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or previous related experience and/or training
  • Must be able to quickly learn and implement dining processes and procedures 
  • Organized, able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure, especially during rush periods
  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is considered a plus 
  • Must be available for emergency and scheduled work requirements on evenings, weekends, or holidays
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and uphold a positive and enthusiastic attitude
