Job Title: Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant
Openings: 1

Salary/Benefits: Commensurate with salary scheduled and experience. Competitive benefits package.
Duties: The primary responsibility of the speech/language pathologist assistant is to deliver speech/language services as mandated on student IEP's in accordance with the Illinois State Board of Education requirements. Provide speech and language services to district students eligible for speech and language services.
Responsibilities: The speech/language pathologist assistant is responsible for but not limited to:
1. Screen students by referral, as needed.
2. Conduct speech/language evaluations as part of comprehensive case study.
3. Conduct 3-year speech/language re-evaluations as required by law.
4. Conduct speech/language-only evaluations as referred.
5. Completes screening procedure according to the district's speech/language guidelines.
6. Follows established procedures for referrals, case studies, IEP paperwork, and annual reviews.
7. Provide speech/language services as indicated on IEP and/or in RtI.
8. Participate as part of the multi-disciplinary team by advising on matters of speech and language.
9. Provide consultation, in-service demonstration, feedback, and collaboration with appropriate professional staff and parents regarding student needs and progress.
10. Establish a student speech/language schedule.
11. Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential records as required by law, district policy, and regulation.
12. Provide and keep data regarding student progress.
13. Keep current with best practices and requirements as they relate to your job assignment.
