CB ConstructionSeattle, WA | Full-time | On-site

Field Leadership | Craftsmanship | Client Experience

We are seeking a skilled, organized, and solutions-oriented Lead Carpenter / Working Superintendent to help lead high-end residential construction projects from active build through completion.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can confidently manage the field production of complex projects, including subcontractor coordination, quality control, homeowner communication, and day-to-day jobsite documentation. You'll work closely with the leadership team to keep projects moving efficiently while maintaining the level of craftsmanship and professionalism that custom residential clients expect.

If you take pride in planning that delivers efficient production while minimizing reactive problem-solving, we'd love to speak with you.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Field Leadership & Jobsite Management

  • Plan and lead daily onsite construction activities across remodel and custom residential projects
  • Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, deliveries, and inspections
  • Maintain project momentum while identifying and resolving field issues proactively
  • Ensure projects are executed safely, cleanly, and professionally
  • Conduct regular quality control walkthroughs and punch list management
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, site documentation, and progress updates

Carpentry & Hands-On Production

  • Perform skilled rough and finish carpentry work as needed
  • Assist with layout, framing, cabinetry, trim, hardware, blocking, and specialty installations
  • Support field crews during critical production phases
  • Set the standard for craftsmanship and attention to detail on-site

Client & Team Communication

  • Serve as a professional point of contact for homeowners during active construction
  • Communicate schedule updates, site conditions, and next steps clearly and professionally
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and ownership
  • Help mentor junior carpenters and field team members

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of residential construction experience preferred
  • Prior experience as a Lead Carpenter, Superintendent, Foreman, or similar field leadership role
  • Strong understanding of residential construction sequencing and building practices
  • Ability to read plans, specifications, and scopes of work confidently
  • Comfortable balancing hands-on carpentry with project coordination responsibilities
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Professional demeanor with clients, vendors, and trade partners
  • Ability to troubleshoot and adapt in fast-moving environments
  • Experience with project management software such as Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Procore, or similar is a plus

The Right Fit

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Enjoys both building and leading
  • Takes ownership without needing constant oversight
  • Operates with professionalism and accountability
  • Understands the importance of client experience in residential construction
  • Wants to be part of a company that values craftsmanship, communication, and long-term team culture

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Overtime opportunities where applicable
  • Company vehicle allowance or mileage reimbursement (if applicable)
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Growth opportunities within a growing company
  • Supportive leadership team and strong project pipeline

To Apply

Please submit your resume along with a brief introduction outlining your experience in residential construction and field leadership.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and knows how to keep projects moving while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship and professionalism.
