Punch List Technician / Handyman

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Punch List Technician / Handyman to complete repairs, maintenance, finishing work, and final project details across residential remodeling projects.

This position is ideal for someone with broad hands-on construction experience who can work independently, solve problems, and complete a variety of tasks with care and attention to detail.

The Punch List Technician / Handyman will address open items, correct deficiencies, perform repairs, and help ensure completed work meets BRYJO's quality standards and client expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform jobsite preparation, cleaning, and light demolition
  • Complete punch list items, repairs, adjustments, and finishing work
  • Perform basic plumbing, minor HVAC-related work, and basic electrical repairs
  • Install or repair fixtures and appliances
  • Clean, repair, and maintain gutters
  • Apply caulking, sealants, and weatherproofing materials
  • Complete minor concrete and masonry repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections
  • Assemble and install shelving, cabinets, and storage solutions
  • Complete rough and finish carpentry
  • Repair drywall and perform patching, sanding, spackling, and painting
  • Install surface protection
  • Repair or replace flooring and tile
  • Perform pressure washing and exterior maintenance
  • Assist with roofing, windows, doors, kitchens, and bathrooms
  • Identify damaged or incomplete work and recommend solutions
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
  • Use tools, ladders, and construction equipment safely
  • Communicate progress, delays, material needs, and project concerns
  • Complete work according to schedules and quality standards
  • Perform other residential repair and punch list duties as required


Qualifications

  • Construction industry experience is required
  • Experience as a maintenance technician, carpenter, punch list technician, remodeling technician, or handyman is preferred
  • Working knowledge of residential trades, including carpentry, demolition, drywall, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, flooring, tile, roofing, windows, doors, and kitchen and bathroom remodeling
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs with limited supervision
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and construction equipment safely
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to meet timelines and follow through
  • Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Professional when working in occupied homes and communicating with clients
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, carpenters, subcontractors, and other team members
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to perform physical construction work, including lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working indoors and outdoors
