Job description

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking a board-certified Genetic Counselor to join our Division of Genetics. 

The successful candidate will work as an integral member of a multidisciplinary pediatric genetics team, providing services across the Loma Linda University Health system. We have exceptional access to a diverse group of patients with rare and complex disorders. The position may include general pediatric genetics, supporting inpatient consultations, and collaborative specialty clinics in areas such as cardiogenetics and craniofacial genetics. Applicants with clinical experience in pediatric genetics, cancer genetics, cardiogenetics, neurogenetics, metabolic genetics, or related specialties are encouraged to apply. The candidate will be eligible for a faculty appointment in the Loma Linda University School of Medicine, at a rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the genetic counselor will participate in teaching, mentorship, and fieldwork supervision for students in the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling Program in Loma Linda University School of Medicine. The program’s instructional faculty includes practicing genetic counselors with expertise across pediatric and adult specialties, laboratory genetics, inpatient care, and multidisciplinary clinical services.

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $95,000 - $120,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
