CDL Driver- Class B

Reinders, a SiteOne Company

The purpose of the Delivery Driver is to transport orders of equipment, materials, and supplies. This position will typically operate straight trucks, box trucks, burros, flat beds, and pallet jacks. The routes range from local to interstate and home nightly; rare occasions may result in an overnight stay. This position will maintain an electric logbook of driving activities to ensure compliance with federal regulations and keep records of vehicle inspections. This position includes some warehouse duties of loading and unloading orders, stocking inventory, and maintaining the warehouse.


Position Overview

As a part of our dedicated team, CDL Drivers will be operating a Reinders/SiteOne vehicle to deliver world-class service and landscape, nursery, forestry, and irrigation products to our customers. CDL Drivers are also responsible for loading and unloading trucks in addition to working with teammates to ensure the branch is operating successfully. This position will include the use of in-vehicle dash cameras to ensure the safety of Reinders/SiteOne drivers, workforce, and the general public. In-vehicle dash cameras are designed to enhance job performance, driver and public safety, and provide assistance in critical situations.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver orders to appropriate customers and maintain Tier driver status.
  • Manage proof of delivery paperwork from customers, including obtaining signatures and collecting payment when indicated.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks with customer orders and maintain accurate records of products. This may entail operating a forklift. 
  • Inspect load for weight compliance and ensure cargo is well secured.
  • Log vehicle trips, hours of service, and DVIR through the Geo-Tab software program.
  • Assist with mapping of delivery routes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicles.
  • Conduct pre and post trip vehicle inspections to ensure working conductions and safety. Ensure that vehicle certificates and licenses are current.
  • Check mechanical aspects of vehicles and perform light maintenance on delivery vehicles.
  • Assist in warehouse operations if needed.
  • May be required to accept temporary assignment to other Reinders’ location within the same geographic area.
  • Assist with facility cleanliness by maintaining an organized layout and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills We Are Seeking
What we are looking for:
  • Valid Class B CDL license required; Class A CDL licensees are also welcome
  • Must meet federal DOT requirements, including maintaining a valid medical card
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant driving experience preferred
  • Experience operating a manual transmission may be preferred
  • Experience operating a Moffett or other truck-mounted forklift, or willingness to become forklift certified
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (electric and manual)
  • Ability to read and write to accurately complete and maintain daily records
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) to support daily operations
  • Ability to read maps and follow delivery routes efficiently
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members
  • Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset and a strong focus on customer service
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable with a willingness to take ownership of responsibilities
  • Ability to think quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and environments
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
