Job description

PARR is the total source for homebuilding supplies, solutions, and services. Job title: Cabinets Contractor Sales
Salary: $58,522 - $74,483 depending on experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am - 5pm
Location: Salem, OR
The Cabinet Contractor Salesperson's main duty is to take care of both in person and over the phone customers of Parr Cabinets. The Cabinet Contractor Salesperson works closely with customers to create cabinet designs and assist the customer in finding the product that they need. This role is important to the Parr Cabinet Design Centers because the Contractor Salesperson is crucial to providing Legendary Service to customers.
The Outside Salesperson directly reports to the Manager. They interact regularly with our clients, Yard Managers, Install team, Cabinet Sales Coordinators, Cabinet Inside Sales members, the Central Purchasing Department, vendor representatives, and industry associates.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Orders cabinet, appliance, countertops, and ancillary items from manufacturers
  • Create purchase orders using detailed, accurate and effective processes
  • Draw 20/20 layouts for customer approval and quoting purposes
  • Arrange delivery of product, working to create customer friendly outcomes
  • Work closely with PARR's installation group to ensure great customer outcomes
  • Assist in meeting team sales and profit goals
  • Check vendor acknowledgements to validate accuracy
  • Make all customers feel genuinely welcome, including greeting customers with a smile and communicating with customers in a friendly manner
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers and business associates
  • Quickly respond to customer complaints and concerns
  • Answer customers' questions, process estimates and orders for customer's, order stock, special order products for customers, and process credit returns, handle appliance repairs and replacements when necessary
  • Assist Cabinet/Appliance Contractor Sales people in maintaining customer relationships
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cabinets' brands, appliances and selling techniques. Share such information with co-workers
  • Ensures that appropriate paperwork is completed as per company policy
  • Follows all AR account and cash handling procedures
  • Reads blue prints and creates take offs
  • Answers phone promptly with professional greeting
  • Completes POs on time, confirms confirmation and tied to order
  • Responds to emails and voicemails promptly
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or in the building materials industry preferred
  • Experience working with cabinet and appliances
  • Knowledge of retail and contractor sales principles practices and protocols
  • Experience in balancing a company's best interests against customer needs, and working with aggressive sales goals
  • Must be able to type 40+ WPM
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficiency in 2020 Design Software
  • Must be able to operate personal computer, telephone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job
  • Class C driver's license and must have and maintain a good driving record required
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or in the building materials industry preferred
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English required

Working Conditions
This position works out of Parr's Cabinet Design Center. This is an office/warehouse setting, with occasional visits to a job site, vendor locations and manufacturing tours.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in an office environment
  • Must be able to occasionally lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
  • Both local and overnight travel may be required
  • Must be able to drive a company vehicle may be required
