Job description

  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair activities for offices, grounds, and buildings across all sites ensuring issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure all buildings comply with regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections and implement necessary improvements.
  • Coordinate and manage the efforts of contracted services and trades ensuring quality and timely completion of work.
  • Respond to management and employee needs for ongoing facility support and activities.
  • Manage and execute work orders, preventive maintenance, and inspections.
  • Perform minor mechanical repairs, painting, furniture moves and general maintenance duties.
  • Communicate to stakeholders regarding property conditions, projects, and ongoing maintenance
  • Collaborate on the management of security, card access, video surveillance, life safety and fire protection systems regarding the maintenance, operation, and procedures
  • Collaborate with plant production maintenance teams on overall building operations and needs.
  • Collaborate with environmental, health, and safety teams on safety programs and initiatives
  • Manage all emergency situations such as responding to after hour emergency calls and making decisions regarding response levels
  • Assist in the planning, management, and execution of capital projects, including new installations and office renovations
  • Assist in the planning, management, and monitoring of budgets for maintenance and repairs, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality
  • Interface with local governmental Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) on permit, code interpretation, operations, fire, safety, and police matters
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group's reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
  • Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members
  • Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company's policies
  • Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications
  • Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the Chamberlain Group mission, vision and values.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 6-8 years of relevant commercial property maintenance
  • Experience in building and grounds maintenance & management; demonstrated ability to manage and direct projects including planning, costing, requesting submittals for approval, scheduling, and execution.
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to multi-task and run multiple projects keeping to tight timetables & budgets.
  • Ability to work independently for most of the time and maintain good working relationships with management, co-workers, and contractors
  • Ability to work and manage projects across multiple locations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, contractor personnel and AHJ
  • Ability and willingness to implement cultural and process changes that reinforce a company goals.

The pay range for this position is $60,400.00 - $97,525.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
