Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Drilled Shaft Inspector to join our Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) project in Honolulu, HI.

Tutor Perini is the general contractor for the HART City Center Guideway and Stations project. The scope of the approximately $1.66 billion contract includes the design and construction of six rail stations and approximately three miles of elevated rail guideway beginning just east of the Middle Street Transit Center Station and ending at the Civic Center Station, which will be located just east of the intersection of Halekauwila Street and South Street in downtown Honolulu. Project design is expected to begin immediately while construction is estimated to commence in the second half of 2025. Construction of this segment is expected to be substantially completed in 2030.

DESCRIPTION:
As a Drilled Shaft Inspector at Tutor Perini Corp., reporting to Quality Control Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Inspect to contract specifications the constructed drilled shafts and testing procedures
  • Develop understanding/working knowledge of company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work
  • Perform inspections and witness tests applicable to discipline to determine acceptability of work
  • Assist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records and other related items; assure correctness of all documents
  • Assist in preparation/implementation of quality control procedures, i.e., inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment, etc.
  • Assist in coordinating quality control inspection schedules with other department schedules
  • Participate in internal/external quality control audits
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 5 or more years of experience in testing, inspection, supervision or management in support of large public works projects
  • Previous experience as an Inspector of Drilled Shafts for heavy civil / transit projects
  • Active certification for drilled shaft inspection and a bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, construction management or similar are both preferred
  • An understanding and experience with contract specifications as they apply to quality control and/or assurance (preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (preferred)
