Job description

Curtis Media Group seeks a Broadcast Engineer/IT Technician to round out our experienced Engineering team based in Raleigh NC.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with various versions of Windows operating systems, on a wide variety of devices.  Familiarity with broadcast automation software is desired; experience with MediaTouch, BE AudioVault, and Wide Orbit playout software is definitely a plus.  Some basic knowledge of radio studio and audio equipment will be helpful.
The candidate should have some knowledge of Windows server software, Active Directory, and basic LAN architecture including managed network switches and other hardware.  Day-to-day tasks will involve dealing with the typical IT problems encountered in an office environment, as well as more specialized issues specific to radio broadcasting.
Familiarity with RF, broadcast transmitters, and associated equipment is a definite advantage, although not strictly required.  There will be plenty of opportunity for on-the-job broadcast-engineering instruction, for the right candidate.
This position will require some amount of mechanical knowledge and skill, including but not limited to the ability to use common hand tools, knowledge of soldering and other repair techniques, and basic knowledge of studio construction.
Curtis Media Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
