As part of our technical team, you'll be at the forefront of supporting both IT and broadcast systems-ensuring our broadcast equipment and network operations deliver top-quality content to our viewers. What You'll Do:
Support Broadcast Systems: Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize broadcast equipment that ensure seamless broadcast operations.
Monitor and Troubleshoot Broadcast Systems: Oversee the performance of broadcast systems, ensuring top-quality audio/video, and resolve any issues quickly during live or recorded broadcasts.
Content Ingestion and Storage: Assist in managing content workflows-ingesting, storing, and retrieving data on broadcast servers and cloud systems with a focus on data integrity.
Install and Configure Equipment: Manage and install broadcast equipment like cameras, servers, routers, switches, encoders, and control systems.
Support Digital Streaming Operations: Collaborate with the digital streaming team to ensure smooth hardware and software operations.
Solve Problems Under Pressure: Respond to technical issues with speed and precision, ensuring minimal downtime during live broadcasts.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with production, technical, and other departments to improve broadcast operations and address technical challenges.
Other Duties as Assigned: Help improve and streamline our broadcast and IT infrastructure as needed.
What You Need to Succeed:
Education & Experience: A degree in electronics or 2-4 years of experience in television or radio.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of broadcast equipment.
Problem-Solving Skills: A natural ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and equipment issues quickly and efficiently.
IT Security Knowledge: Familiarity with IT security best practices, including firewalls, antivirus tools, and network monitoring.
Adaptability Under Pressure: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, especially during live broadcasts.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working across multiple teams.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights (on ladders) as necessary.
Availability: Our work is 24/7, and you must be able to respond quickly to emergencies or technical issues as they arise.
