As a Body Shop Assistant Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our business and in the lives of our team members and customers every day. We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused Body Shop Manager who will help us redefine the car-buying experience. 

The role of an Assistant Body Shop Manager/ Production Manager is to motivate and assist technicians in the proper and timely repair of vehicles.

  • Supervise body shop technicians, estimators and support fellow associates
  • Ascertain automotive body damage by conducting inspections and examinations
  • Analyze repair estimates with technicians and estimators
  • Ensure that the dispatching of work to teams and/or department is appropriate
  • Maintain high level of technician productivity.
  • Develop and utilize management reports to monitor productivity
  • Monitor the movement of repairs throughout the shop.
  • Interact with customers when needed to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Monitor procedures to ensure a consistently high level of quality service
  • Follow up on exceptions to body shop business or procedures; assigns corrective actions to appropriate associates
  • Monitor progress and completion of vehicles in the shop, ensuring that proper repair and safety procedures are followed
  • Monitor quality control checks and inspections on each vehicle after repairs are completed
  • Meet with the Body Shop Manager daily to keep him/her informed of any deviations that may have occurred in body shop business
  • Comply with all organizational policies, practices, and procedures
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skills
  • Provide limited supervision to others through motivation, direction, review, and feedback of assigned tasks
  • Prepare daily, weekly or monthly reports as directed by the body shop manager
  • Supervise work through the planning and scheduling of work, and the review and approval of tasks
  • Other duties to be determined by management
  • Previous automotive Collision or military equivalent experience heavily preferred
  • Proficiency in CCC1 and/or Mitchell heavily preferred
  • Proficiency in Profit Net is a PLUS
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background and drug test)
