Senior Manager, Operations & Governance - Digital Assets

What you'll do:

As a Senior Manager - Operations and Governance, you'll assist in the development and implementation of the overall strategy for the Digital Asset Banking National Business Line (NBL). This includes enhanced risk management, policy governance, operations, and change management oversight processes. You'll ensure all NBL policies, procedures, and processes are documented and updated according to regulatory and internal standards. In this role, you'll collaborate with the Bank's business units, operational and administrative departments, and bank regulators to review and apply regulatory guidance and regulations across various NBL functions.
  • Manage all policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and frameworks for financial services institutions. Monitor and assess program governance and compliance initiatives, ensuring effective first line of defense, Enterprise Risk Management, and other governance controls for the NBL.
  • Advise and coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Operations, Risk, and other internal partners to facilitate program governance, risk, and compliance activities. Provide clear, pragmatic support and guidance regarding the interpretation and adoption of regulatory requirement changes. Advise NBL's senior and executive management on the impact of regulatory changes and recommend strategies.
  • Serve as a point of contact and subject matter expert for risk management, change management, and governance for NBL processes, new credit products, and new business lines. Formulate management and Board reports, responses, and remediation plans, supervising the data collection and validation process.
  • Lead and develop a team of portfolio managers, responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and development.

What you'll need:

  • 8+ years of related experience in Finance, Finance (GL Mgmt., Public Reporting, Analysis) or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required; Masters or MBA in related field preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices. Strong knowledge and familiarity with the regulatory environment for blockchain and digital assets.
  • Advanced knowledge of blockchain technology, digital assets, cryptocurrencies, and application in the financial industry.
  • Advanced proficient in project management and experience in leading and managing complex projects, particularly those involving technology and digital transformation.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Certified Blockchain Professional (CBP), Certified Enterprise Blockchain Professional (CEBP) and/or Certified Fintech Expert (CFTE) preferred.
