Sodexo's growing Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Division is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician 1 to support Healthcare Technology Management services at Lowell General Hospital located in Lowell, MA.

The main role/responsibilities of the Biomedical Equipment Technician 1 will be to ensure all related biomedical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service skills, strong technical skills and a commitment to deliver excellent repair service in an expedient manner.

What You'll Do
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs on a variety of biomedical equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure equipment functionality and patient safety.

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance testing.

  • Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment issues and deliver excellent customer support.

  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards related to healthcare technology management.

  • Assist in the installation and calibration of new equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment and/or equivalent of military BMET program and/or AAMI certified
