Job description

Description
The NYU Center for Bioethics in the School of Global Public Health at NYU invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor/Faculty Fellow, pending administrative and budgetary approval. There is one position available. The initial appointment will be for one year, renewable annually for a maximum of three years. We especially welcome candidates who have worked in bioethics as well as those who have training in such areas as ethics, political philosophy, or social and political theory and who have strong or emerging teaching and research interests in bioethics.
The successful applicant will teach two graduate courses per year in the Masters in Bioethics program and one undergraduate course per year, in Medical Ethics or selected topics in Ethics. The successful candidate will also actively participate in seminars, conferences, and other projects in the Center.
Qualifications
Applicants must expect to receive their Ph.D by Fall 2025 or have completed it no more than three years before the start date. We strongly encourage minorities, women, or members of other underrepresented groups to apply.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $60,471- $72,471.
