THE ROLE
The Ticket Sales Representative is responsible for generating ticket revenue across Georgia Tech Athletics including Football, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and Volleyball. This role will primarily focus on new season ticket acquisition while also driving retention, renewal, and growth within an assigned portfolio of existing season ticket members. Additional responsibilities include the sale of mini-plans, group tickets, single-game tickets, and premium seating products where applicable.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and results-oriented sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-activity environment. This individual will be responsible for proactively identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, building meaningful relationships with fans and supporters, and consistently exceeding established revenue goals. Success in this role requires strong prospecting skills, disciplined sales habits, a competitive mindset, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
As a member of an integrated revenue team, the Ticket Sales Representative will collaborate closely with the Alexander-Tharpe Fund, Georgia Tech Athletic Ticket Office, Marketing, and Legends Global Sales leadership to execute strategic sales initiatives and drive ticket revenue growth throughout the Atlanta market.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Generate ticket revenue through the sale of season tickets, mini-plans, group tickets, single-game tickets, and premium seating products across Georgia Tech Athletics' ticketed sports portfolio.
• Execute a high volume of outbound sales activity, including phone calls, emails, text messaging, virtual presentations, in-person meetings, and stadium tours to identify new business opportunities and achieve annual revenue goals.
• Develop, manage, and retain a portfolio of season ticket members through proactive account management, exceptional customer service, referral generation, cross-selling opportunities, and strategic retention efforts.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Ticket Operations, the Alexander-Tharpe Fund, Marketing, Fan Experience, and Athletics Administration to deliver customized solutions and a best-in-class customer experience.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales activity, pipeline progression, customer interactions, and revenue forecasting through Salesforce CRM, Paciolan, and other sales enablement platforms.
• Consistently meet or exceed individual activity, appointment, revenue, and retention goals while contributing to overall team performance objectives.
• Participate in ongoing sales training, professional development opportunities, weekly sales meetings, and performance review sessions to enhance selling effectiveness and industry knowledge.
• Represent Georgia Tech Athletics and Legends Global Sales at athletic events, community functions, prospect meetings, and gameday activities as assigned.
• Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and gamedays, to support sales initiatives, customer engagement, and departmental objectives.
• Assist with special projects, departmental initiatives, and other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented sales environment with a competitive mindset and a strong desire to achieve and exceed performance goals.
• Proven ability to manage a high volume of outbound and inbound sales activity, including phone calls, emails, text messages, appointments, presentations, and follow-up communications while maintaining accountability to established activity and revenue metrics.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build relationships, identify customer needs, influence purchasing decisions, and close new business opportunities.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Highly coachable with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience utilizing CRM platforms, ticketing systems, and sales automation tools. Experience with Salesforce and Paciolan is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and gamedays, as required to support departmental and customer needs.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• One (1) or more years of sales experience, preferably within collegiate athletics, professional sports, ticket sales, sponsorship sales, fundraising, or a related revenue-generating environment.
