GARNEY
AMarine Crane Operator position is availableat Garney. As aMarine Crane Operator, you will be responsible for performing heavy picks on a floating barge using a lattice boom or hydraulic crane. A Marine Crane Operator may utilize various pile-driving equipment. This role requires teamwork, adaptability, and a commitment to safety on the water. This role is vital to the smooth operation of our marine services.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Picking heavy pipe, miscellaneous equipment, setting spuds on the barge and driving sheets on land
- Perform daily inspections on equipment to ensure proper function
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the deck and equipment, including cleaning deck/barge, equipment and report any equipment malfunctions or repairs
- Follow all safety protocols and assist in safety drills. Ensure that safety equipment is accessible and in good condition
- Support other crew members in their tasks as needed, maintaining effective communication and teamwork
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Must have a NCCCO Crane Operator License for Lattice boom and hydraulic cranes (Or other equivalent certification)
- Minimum of 5 years experience operating a hydraulic lattice boom and crawler cranes
- Basic understanding of rigging, working loads and signals
- Experience from working from floating barges is desired
- Must be willing to work overtime
- Basic Safety Training (BST) or equivalent certifications preferred. CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus
- Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be physically fit and able to perform tasks that require lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions
