This is a supervisory position responsible for providing high-quality service to retail bank clients by administering branch operations and supervising multiple Customer Service Representatives.

A successful Customer Service Supervisor must:

  • Ensure high level of customer satisfaction through the delivery of excellent service.
  • Assist clients by recognizing opportunities and making appropriate product and service recommendations for both consumer and small business clients.
  • Supervise two or more CSRs and manage scheduling, branch staff on-boarding and training, workflow management, and daily adherence to operational processes and policies.
  • Assist the manager in suggesting ways to optimize operational effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency to build shareholder value.
  • Demonstrate and apply skills necessary to open all account types and originate loans.
  • Develop competencies and certifications/registration necessary to support branch performance goals.
  • Assume responsibility for the branch in the absence of other branch leadership.
  • Adhere to bank policies and procedures designed to comply with Federal regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act and OFAC regulations.
  • Reflect the corporate values and ethics of WaFd Bank, including integrity, teamwork, ownership, simplicity, discipline, and service. In addition, they must be kind.

Education/Skills/Training:

  • High school diploma or approved equivalent.
  • Basic math skills, 10-key and keyboarding.
  • Proficient in standard Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook.
  • Well-developed smart phone and digital channel skills.
  • Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills and superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be certified in the IRA Road Map and participate in branch onboarding of new hires.

Experience:

  • Prior banking and supervisory experience preferred, including previous work in retail, consumer service delivery, or client relations.
