Learn more about us at specsys.org and apply today!SALARY RANGE: $20.00 to $24.00 per hourFLEXIBLE SCHEDULE including 4 10-hour shifts and 5 8-hour shifts with flexible start timesBENEFITS & PERKS: Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance; HSA/FSA options; Accident & Critical Illness Insurance; Short- and Long-Term Disability; 401(k) with Employer Match; Term Life Insurance; Employee Assistance Program; Employee-of-the-Month and Year, Onsite Welding Training and Certifications; RITALKA University; Employee Luncheons; Company Picnic; Community VolunteeringAs a Painter, you will have the primary responsibility of operating or tending painting machines to paint surfaces of equipment, to prepare metal surfaces for paint, and to operate or tend the blast booth to prep for paint and weld surfaces.What does a Painter do at SpecSys?Pours paint into spray gun and sprays specified amount of primer or finish coatings onto prepared surfaces-mixes paint per Selects paint according to company requirements and matches colors of paint following specified color chartsRegulates controls on portable ventilators and exhaust units to cure and dry paint or other coatings.Strips, grease, dirt, paint and rust from projects, using abrasives, solvents, brushes and sandblasterSets up portable ventilators, exhaust units, ladders and scaffolding.Operates lifting and moving devices to move equipment or materials to access areas to be painted and/or blastedDisassembles sprayer and power equipment, such as sandblaster and cleans equipment and hand tools, using solvents, wire brushes and clothsMixes, stirs and thins paint or other coatings, using spatula or power mixing equipment.Clean parts by using a pressure washer that injects a phosphate cleaner into the water stream, then spray the parts with a sealer.Transport racks containing parts to the paint area to stage for painting.Work with the painter to set up an even flow of parts and to meet daily department needs.Assist in the plugging of threads and the masking of unpainted areas.Understands waste management and clean up proceduresHave a basic knowledge of blueprint readingFollows scheduled provided by paint leadProperly cleans and maintains PPECompletes necessary safety checks dailyControls shot blast media levelsWhat are we looking for in a quality Painter candidate?
