MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:
• In this role, you will perform the following:
• Lead communication designs and coordinate with other disciplines
• Create conceptual and detailed systems designs, including producing design drawings, specifications and design analysis deliverables
• Coordinate with a BIM/CAD team for drawing production
• Perform quality control duties and independent technical reviews
• Manage assigned budgets, scopes and schedules
• Mentoring and providing guidance/instruction to less experienced staff members
• Other potential duties:
• May perform fieldwork and write assessment reports
• May assist with creation of design guides and templates
• May provide support to business development or pursuit activities
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• As part of this role, you will be assigned to projects supporting U.S. Government Agency/Department clients. Due to the nature of the work,
• The following are preferred qualifications:
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, BICSI industry standards, codes and best practices related to the design of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), low voltage, and telecommunications systems
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems from a safety and constructability perspective
• Strong knowledge of inside plant (ISP) cabling infrastructure to include telecommunications spaces and pathways, copper, and optical fiber cabling and connectivity
• Experience in outside plant (OSP) design of copper and fiber optic communication systems
• Experience in audio-visual (AV) system design
• 4+ years of experience designing applicable telecommunication systems
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum Qualifications
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
• Certifications
• Will also consider candidates if they have direct Federal experience but no RCDD but DOES have plans of sitting for the RCDD in the next few months.
• Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification (required)
• Certified Technology Specialist-Design (CTS-D) certification (preferred)
