Robert Half is partnering with a well-established Honolulu law firm to identify a Legal Assistant who is ready to grow their career in a busy and rewarding legal environment. If you have at least one year of legal support experience and enjoy being part of a team that makes a meaningful impact on clients' lives, we'd like to connect with you.

Our client is seeking a highly organized professional who can provide litigation and administrative support to attorneys handling personal injury matters. Previous experience supporting personal injury, civil litigation, insurance, or plaintiff-side legal practices is highly preferred.

What You'll Be Doing in this 100% ONSITE role:

  • Assist attorneys throughout the lifecycle of personal injury and litigation matters.
  • Draft, edit, and prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, discovery materials, and case-related documents.
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate electronic records.
  • Coordinate court filings and service of documents in accordance with applicable procedures and deadlines.
  • Track critical dates, hearings, discovery schedules, and attorney calendars.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance representatives, courts, and opposing counsel.
  • Obtain, organize, and summarize medical records and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with trial preparation, exhibits, and case materials for hearings, mediations, and settlement discussions.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure matters move efficiently through the legal process.

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Minimum one year of experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or in a similar legal support role.
  • Prior exposure to personal injury law strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with insurance carriers, claims adjusters, or medical records is a plus.
  • Understanding of litigation procedures, court deadlines, and document management practices.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional communication and client service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic file management systems.
  • Experience with legal case management software is beneficial.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

Our client offers the stability of an established practice, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to gain valuable experience supporting attorneys on meaningful and challenging cases. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing details, interacting with clients, and contributing to successful case outcomes.

For immediate and confidential consideration, submit your resume directly to Robert Half. We are conducting this search on behalf of our client and will provide additional details during the interview process. Talent residing on the island Oahu will be given first consideration as our client is not presently providing a relocation package.
