Job Requirements
Silverseal is seeking a highly trained, vigilant, and service-oriented Certified EMT Armed professional to join our team at a corporate client site. This role combines proactive security responsibilities with emergency medical response capability, ensuring the safety, well-being, and rapid care of all personnel, visitors, and assets on site. The ideal candidate is not only skilled in security operations and the responsible use of force if necessary, and also brings a strong emergency medical care experience, teamwork, and a positive and collaborative, client-focused culture. This position plays a critical role in fostering a safe, supportive environment through partnership with colleagues, site staff, and emergency responders.
*Law Enforcement Background & EMT Certification Required*
Site: Corporate Building
Shifts: 7am-6pm EST (11 hour shifts)
This position is a 1099 independent contractor role.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain vigilance for safety, security, and medical risks.
  • Provide armed security services while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional environment.
  • Deliver immediate emergency medical care within EMT scope of practice, including first aid, CPR, AED use, and patient stabilization.
  • Collaborate closely with team members, site personnel, and leadership to support a unified and communicative workplace.
  • Serve as a first responder to medical incidents, coordinating with EMS and ensuring continuity of care.
  • Monitor and respond to security threats, suspicious activity, and emergency situations, using sound judgment and appropriate force when required.
  • Partner with local law enforcement, fire departments, and EMS during critical incidents and emergency responses.
  • Enforce site-specific security protocols, access control procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain readiness and proper handling of authorized weapons in full compliance with safety standards and legal requirements.
  • Complete clear, detailed, and accurate reports on incidents, medical responses, and daily activities.
  • Assist with crowd management, public safety, and emergency evacuations as needed.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and mutual respect in all interactions.
  • Participate in ongoing training, drills, and team development initiatives to strengthen both security and medical response capabilities.

Work Experience
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Current NYS Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification required.
  • Active New York State Armed Security Guard License required.
  • HR-218 preferred.
  • Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or emergency response required.
  • Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and patient care protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm, decisive, and professional in high-stress or emergency situations.
  • Proficiency in firearms safety and responsible use.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant training preferred.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety, service, and collaboration.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness.
  • Capability to respond rapidly to emergencies, including running, climbing stairs, and lifting or carrying equipment or individuals (50+ lbs).
  • Physical stamina to perform both security and emergency medical duties as required.
